The new Pax Vaporizer is a great way to bring better tasting and smoother smoke while traveling. You won’t have to worry about running out of vapor because the Pax can be used in the car, on the plane, or even at home. It’s small, sleek and incredibly handy. Here are some of my observations after using the Pax 3 for a week.
The battery is definitely the weak point of the Pax 3.
It seems that the battery simply doesn’t last very long. I’ve actually replaced it multiple times and each time it lasted only a couple of hours. But overall, it’s not the biggest weakness of the Pax. There are certainly other units that I would have preferred.
The most noticeable weakness of the Pax 3 vaporizer is the lack of portability.
The battery life is just not long enough to make it worth carrying around or going through the trouble of setting up the unit. The ease of use is definitely one of the keys to the unit’s success, however, it does make it difficult to take anywhere with you. Perhaps consider getting a battery life extender for it if you travel a lot. If you don’t mind this issue and prefer to be able to use the vaporizer at home wherever you are, then the Pax 3 makes a great choice.
The airflow control on the Pax 3 vaporizer is great for conduction vapor quality.
You can get away with allowing the air to flow through the glass tube all the way to the bottom of the unit. This allows for easy cleaning and a great vapor quality throughout the entire session. Some vapers may prefer to let the air stream through the heating element and then into the filter and bowl. This is easily done by flipping a switch.
The Pax 3 also has a great heating mechanism.
It uses an integrated electronic heating system that has four heat settings from cold to me. In addition to the heating mechanism, the Pax 3 also features a digital LED display and audible warning of overheating. This really helps to prevent overheating, which can often shorten the life of your vaporizer. The audible warning can be a huge benefit if you’re trying to concentrate on the concentrate when you’re getting ready to enjoy a good vapor.
The Pax 3 features a unique heating method that makes use of an “Oven-proof” mouthpiece. This type of mouthpiece essentially takes the temperature of the air being pushed over the heating element in the Pax 3 vaporizer and changes it to help draw more air into the vapor path. This ensures that all of the vapor is created at the proper temperature. A “dry heat valve” prevents overheating the air when it isn’t being vaporized.
The Pax 3 Vaporizer also comes with a variable “humidifier” setting that allows you to set the moisture level of your vapour. Just like the Pax 2, the Oven-proof setting allows you to set the moisture level to a high percentage (around 40%) of what the unit indicates as the ideal moisture level. The low setting is just right for those who want to save time and energy. The unit will still heat up to the set moisture level but won’t get as hot.
Finally, the Pax 3 Vaporizer has a really cool electronic tray that can be used for storage or travel.
It can be removed and kept in a small space so that you can be ready to go when the mood strikes. The electronic tray has two compartments that are designed to hold the electronic components of the Pax 3 Vaporizer. One compartment is located in the front of the mouthpiece and the other is located in the back of the mouthpiece. With its compact size and no fan motor, the Pax 3 Vaporizer makes it perfect for travel or storage.
